프로젝트 개요
Site: A farm in the desert
Date: June 2019
Location: Sana Province, Yemen
Industry: Agricultural Irrigation, Fruit Tree Irrigation
Project scope: To develop a new series of solar pumps with the help of VEICHI solar pump drives
VEICHI deliveries: Solar PV module array, SI30 solar pump drive, a motor
Project Introduction
In June 2019, Veichi SI30 series 11kW solar water pumping system was successfully installed in a village in Yemen. The project was invested by the local government for irrigating rice fields.
The challenge:
The problem of energy and water sources is one of the most important issues many countries are faced with. Around more than 30% agricultural pumps are not available to connect with grid electricity due to poor power facilities. And 50% farms cannot get well irrigated because of poor water conservancy infrastructure. Nowadays the cost of diesel is rapidly increasing,so the cost of maintenance on diesel generator pump system is very high. It is urgent and important to find a sustainable way for agricultural irrigation.
The solution:
Solar powered water pump technology is a very good solution to agricultural irrigation. The system consists of 14.4kW solar array,11kW pump inverter and 11kw pump and provides 12m³/h water for irrigation.

The result:
The scope of the project included the supply and installation of six Veichi SI30 series solar water pumping systems, which can deliver 400 cubic meters per day at a head of 180m. soalr pumping systems do not require batteries. The solar generator supplies the pumps during the day and can be switched to grid power at night if necessary to meet the 24-hour operation of the pumps.
